To me there is a very significant difference between a filling up hose where water is in contact with the sides for only a very few seconds between water point and your fresh water tank, and onboard plumbing where, (on a non live-aboard boat), it can lie in the same pipe for weeks. Hardly comparable, is it ?

They are extremely well built and the quality of welding often better than that of some well known British fabricators. Poland is also a democracy and has been since the collapse of the Soviet Union more than 2 decades ago, so they don't have gulags.
