I lost my note books from when I was an apprentice where we tested a six cylinder Austin petrol engine at college and by the time I got to Reading College they had thrown their dynamometer and associated kit out. I only have the "typical" diagrams in my text books and none give a diagram for a pilot injected diesel (electronic systems too new for my books and dual spring mechanical injectors too rare to feature).
