NMEA
I use the Pico one for boilers, gets very good reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B00NSKJWGW/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=recent
Sea Dog
Concerned at the amount of dust thrown up when cleaning my stove, I am considering buying a hot ash vacuum. Any recommendations? We have one of those cans with a steel hose which allows you to vacuum ash into the can using the suction of a standard hoover. The can gets used all the time for emptying the ash pan into, but the hose went into the bin just this week as we didn't use it. More trouble than its worth imho. We got more dust problems from the hose once disconnected, which was like trying to stow an anaconda, than we ever did from the ash pan. Other types may be better I guess. blackrose
I saw one for sale at Lidl the other day. I'd have thought anything used to hoover up fine ash would need to have a very good filter otherwise the ash just ends up in the air. I avoid hoovering up cold ash with my wet/dry vac because that's what happens.
