Penfold
Dear techno peeps......Can you explain the time that shows on peoples posts. 04:20PM for example.....Would it not be straight forward for the site to use a 24 hour clock so 04:20PM would just be 1620.....I did check my settings and am on the Dublin/London time zone but it makes no difference to the time show. Over to you Yoda
Paul C
It would be the same, there's no advantage one way or another.

RichM
Personally I'd prefer a 24hr clock also but I'm pretty sure we'd receive a fair amount of complaints if we made such a change.
Penfold
Ah a fellow supporter.... Why not put it to the test and put a 'poll' on the boards....I would have thought a nautical (ish) group would all have been very familiar with the 24 clock system. I'll leave it there, if it happens OK but if not I shall not be found roaming and moaning. Great community you chaps have nurtured by the way. john6767
Why does it make any real difference? Although if your locale is set to en_GB then in most software you would get a 24 hour clock as that is what is supposed to be the norm in the UK, but perhaps IPB does not do that properly, although it must do localised date/time formats of some sort as I see the date as dd mmm yyyyy
