Yes but a problem with CO detectors is they don't just detect CO. They also sound off in the presence of hydrogen IIRC, and one or two other things sometimes found in boats. Repeated false alarms leads to people simply not believing them.

We have a friend who removed his from his petrol powered cruiser because it went off every time he went out for a cruise frusty.gif

 

It didn't occur to him that it was perhaps trying to tell him something.....
