In the process off fitting an aftermarket temp gauge and want to wire it up to the Ing switch so that it comes on and goes off with the starter key/ switch.

Which terminals do I connect it. It's a basic beta marine controll panel with rev counter, key switch and lights.

The same one that the warning lamps and one of the rev counter positives connect to. It is likely to be a 6mm blade and it may have two such blades on one rivet. If one is spare use that one.

I can't tell you the number or letter because they tend to differ so I would use a test lamp or voltmeter to see which terminal becomes live when the ignition is turned on.

You may wish to consider an in-line fuse but many don't. Beta may alreday have a fuse alongside the main harness somewhere.
