Eberspacher D5W decoke/service

Featured Posts

Hello,

I have the old D5W heater (pic below) and would like to give it a service/decoke. As I purchased it 2nd hand and have found out it will need regular servicing due to my set up. I have searched on this forum and on the net but all the links that point to a manual or something have expired or ar broken links.

Does anyone have a video or service manual for one of these units?

I have a manual in PDF format if you want to drop me a PM with an email address. A decoke is all you will be able to do unless you have the required service tools like an exhaust gas analyser, pressure tester etc. The old D5W was a good old piece of kit when properly set up.

Oddly enough, there is quite a good source of Eberspacher information on the Le Tonkinoise Varnish website. They post it under 'Eberspacher FAQs' at www.letonkinoisvarnish.uk (they've dropped the '.co' bit) and it's damned nice of them if you ask me! :)
