If you go downstream of the 24hr moorings at Goring there are a couple of locations where you can get in under the trees with mooring pins but the towpath is roof height so its a bit of a pita. I don't think anyone bothers with boats being there so a few days is probably OK. I haven't been up there for a year or two so it may have changed...

JV44 - thats good advice about the £5 per extra day up to 72hrs for the EA mooring below the lock :)
