January licence renewal. (again)

Can't find earlier thread. We waited for our renewal number then paid on line that day, 9th December. Money taken on 10th December.

Licence arrived in post today 16th January.

Renewed on-line 5th Dec, licences arrived 6th January after being queried by me on the 19th Dec.

Thanks. It seems people's experiences vary. I don't have a problem as long as we still get the lower price for paying early. The problem is that having paid we tend to forget about it then suddenly remember when it would be too late if it hadn't gone through for some reason.

Twice in the days before hand held computers we were accused of not having up to date licences by enforcement officers. In those days, when stoppages still left ways through, we used to pay in the Fazeley office so had a receipt to show.

As EA licences are renewed in January and Crt do the gold ones, if not all, it's a busy time for the office. Factor in Christmas and you can see why there are delays

If you pay online you get a reference number plus an e mail to say you have paid so no question of missing the early payment discount.,,

Applied online 23-12-14, licence arrived 06-01-15. They'd be pushed to improve on that, given the number of statutory (and other) holidays in between. .
