Moss Bridge (218) on L&L

The bridge is stuck. 4 of us have tried without success to shift it. Bizzarly the bridge belongs to Yorkshire Water and CRT are not allowed to touch it. I have called out YW and am awaiting their arrival.

Is there anyone with local knowledge of this bridge who could maybe offer advice on how to shift it?

No personal knowledge of this bridge, but someone jumping up and down on it while it's being swung may help. If you can see which end is sticking, try jumping on the other end.

Yorkshire Water have sent out a tractor that managed to pull it open. Happens all the time apparently!

I understand it because YW insist on taking trucks across that are too heavy.

When we got there recently it was stuck. Ringing CRT only got the reply "What is the post code" and no action. After two hours we rang Yorkshire Water. They had the answer, a Transit with a tow rope! Later that evening the bridge had shrunk (contracted) and it swung easily. Pray for Rain.
