JohnP52
I have had the injectors refurbished and refitted by others but one is leaking from around the copper washer between what I assume is the injector itself and what I would describe as the turret which terminates with the banjo bolt for the spill rail. Is it OK to try and screw the 'turret' down a bit firmer? or better to remove it and replace the washer?
RLWP
Try the first carefully - if it leaks replace the washers Richard MORE: Hang on - let me take a picture, I'm not sure if you mean the small copper washer at the top, or the big one on the body Edited June 25, 2014 by RLWP
JohnP52
Thanks Richard. I'm talking about the larger washer, 30mm diameter perhaps.
p6rob
There's a good chance you have multiple crinkle washers down the hole. I thought I'd got all mine out, but then, after re-cehcking to cure the leaks, found three more under one injector and two under another. RLWP
Thanks Richard. I'm talking about the larger washer, 30mm diameter perhaps. The one you can see in this image?: If so, that's the seal between the injector and the cap - the cap is removed to adjust the injector then put back. You can tighten that up - slacken the banjo bolt on the spill rail first Richard
JohnP52
Thanks for that Richard - it is the seal between the injector and the cap that is weeping. I will have a go at it this weekend. John
