Peugeot 106
I need a gearbox for my LPSW2 (20Hp)(Canalstar) engine. Looking at the data sheets the PRM 80D2 seems adequate but Hendy Power seem to fit the PRM 120D2 to the 2 cylinder canalstars that they offer. Both are available reconditioned at a very good price on ebay and they both seem to fit the same adaptor plate. Which one should I go for? n.b.Goldie
Go for the most robust gearbox you can afford. PRM boxes are generally pretty good. Talk to forum members Chris-B who works for the company that marinises the engines and Tony Brooks who has forgotten more than most of us will ever know.
