Restaurant narrow boat March, Cambridge

Hi does anyone know of a narrow boat restaurant type bar that could be hired out for the day around March Cambridge

They have one at Hartford Marina near Huntingdon. Google 'Captains Table'.

There are a couple of floating restaurant barges in Peterborough. They are static though.

Or Fox's have a 38 footer n/b which can be hired out for the day. The recommended cruise is to Upwell, moor at the church staithe and have lunch at The Five Bells before going back to Fox's.

There is no operation of that kind in the March area - at least, if there is I've never seen it go past!

You won't get any single narrowboat that could carry 50 people nowadays, although they used to pack them in like sardines back in the day before regulations.

 

Thinking about restaurant and trip boats in the Fens area as a whole, you've got the Captain's Table at Huntingdon but I think that's only about 30 people.

 

There's the Georgina in Cambridge which can take up to 110 people, of which you could probably get 50 sitting down- http://www.georgina.co.uk/index.php/about-the-riverboat/

 

But apart from the floating restaurants in Peterborough, which you can't tell are actually floating, there's nothing else as far as I'm aware in the whole of East Anglia.
