Tomska
The run from my water tank skin to my pump is a length of garden hose with jubilee clips. Anyone know the best way to fit a stopcock? I've googled but nothing obvious. Thanks.
Guest
Not sure what you mean by "skin." What type of tank is it?
Grace and Favour
I'd convert the garden hose to Hep2O, and fit one of their stopcocks

I've googled but nothing obvious. Thanks. Stopcock should go as close to the tank as feasible. If the tank has a stub (which your hose is clipped to) just use a 1/2" stopcock on the stub and then put a small piece of 1/2" pipe on the exit of the cock to re-jubilee your bit of hose to (or do it properly and replace the whole lot with HEP2 as previously recommended). ditchcrawler
Do you have a fitting screwed into the water tank to fit the hose to, if so remove it and replace it with a valve like one ofthese http://www.asap-supplies.com/search/ball+valve and then plumb it in properly doing away with the garden hose
