He was fine with Chertsey, so perhaps bigger boats are more his forte!

 

That said Chertsey doesn't have a Z-drive!

 

Glad it was no worse, anyway!

 

Had 'Adagio' a long shaft or even a narrowboat sized cabin shaft i'm certain we'd have been on our way within a minute or two. you can't do much from a 4foot high deck with a 3ft long (broken) telescopic aluminium excuse for a shaft. Given the choice I'd have been sat in the pub rather than bosting in the dark.....
