Window Frame Condensation

Featured Posts

Hi

Just in the process of refinishing the trim round the windows which has all been damaged from water on the very inside of the window frame (so inside of the bit which has the weep holes to drain it). I was just wondering if anyone had ever come up with a brilliant solution for this or is it just a fact of life and I should get used to re varninsing?

Cheers

Peter

I've used very small plastic trunking (http://www.wickes.co.uk/Mini-Trunking/invt/712941) and fixed it round the windows with clear silicon mating sure that the gap between the frame and trunking is filled with silicon. I've left the top off and used it round the square windows and used the top round the portholes. Seems to have worked so far.
