The only boat to get stuck in the Caldon Canal breach (Victoria) was lifted out this week, B/W hired a 500 ton crane from Glasgow, rescue of the boat was hampered by the boat being stuck in ice, so early in the morning, ice was broken and the boat was put in position for the lift, it was successfully done by lunch time and by tea it was in water again at Longport Wharf.
