I have my name down on a waiting list for a residential mooring

outside the city centre i have seen this tendering for a mooring before

but i wouldnt know what would be a reasonable bid to offer ?

This one wouldnt suit me as it doesnt offer any parking facilities.

I like the bizarre stipulation that you have to moor stern first?!?

I'm not sure I follow your point ?

Surely it's the only way you can moor at Gas Street, unless you wish to scrample over your "pointed end" every time you wish to get on or off the boat.

Aren't they just making it clear it's an "end on" mooring, rather than moored with your side against anything firm ?

  • 3 weeks later...

I heard from a reliable source that the last mooring tendered on Gas St went for £2100. roughly 1 1/2 what the price under the previous scheme would have been.

There used to be lots of people bridge hopping on that (this) pound on the W&B and there are a number of boats that suggest to me that the mooring warden doesn't get out very much... I'd be tempted to follow their lead up there.
