Cheshire Ring Race

I've just been chatting to my none boaty mate who lives over near the Chesterfield, who's Mrs was watching TV - something about narrowboats he said taking part in a "Cheshire Ring Race" which goes past our mooring. I tried to extract more info about this out of him but he had no idea.

 

Does anybody know any more?

Cheers Tim. Before I realised it was for canoes and the like, I thought 24 hours was pushing it slightly what with the Cheshire locks and the Rochdale locks!
