The lift bridge has been closed again UFN as a barrier has been damaged and is failing to open. Technicians are due to inspect the bridge on Thursday 27th March 2008. Info from BW.

Hope they fix it soon as we're booked on the Ribble Link on the 20th April and the boat is in Marple at present!

The bridge has now got an electrical fault and will only be opened manually by the bridgekeeper between the following times :-

 

9.00am - 10.00am

 

12noon - 1.00pm

 

3.00pm - 4.00pm

Thankyou to Pie Eater as it was this post that meant we headed straight for the Bridge rather than waiting for Friends in Manchester (we picked them up at Barton instead). Otherwise we'd have had top do Plank Lane to Tarleton in one day!
