Thornycroft 154 2.52 diesel engin water pump

After some difficulties finding a replacement pump I have discovered that it is the same pump as fitted to the 3000 austin healey engine.

 

Hope this may help other boaters.

These engines share a lot of parts when you don't expect it and then when you expect them to share parts they don't - the good old days of Brit. engineering!

That is good to know, so probably any other BMC straight six engines, even, possibly, the 5.1 Sealord diesel.

I cannot remember if the MGC engine has common bits with the 100-6 and 3000 Austin Healey's engine or has common parts with the 100-4.

Many of the smaller truck engines are generic with these engines.
