Macclesfield Canal - any current issues ?

Hi. I'm aware that the Bosley and Marple are severely restricted, but are there any resulting issues with water supply lower down The Macc  - between Hardings Wood Junction and Congleton ? We were due to set off tomorrow (Sat 30th Apr) from Middlewich on the Cheshire Ring - but obviously that's out now. We had considered The Four Counties instead have decided on The Caldon plus a bit extra - and the extra bit was to run up to up to Congleton.

No problems on the lower Macc - I moor near Congleton. Good turning at the wharf or a bit further on after the aquaduck.

There's a closure in Hanley on the Cauldon. Not open until 23rd June

That's right near the bottom of the Caldon, before you get to the nice bits.

panic not: water on the lower Mac is fine ( maybe not quite as tasty as the 2017 vintage )
