Canal Tavern, Shardlow - when did it close?

Just a quick query. 

 

Does anyone know when the Canal Tavern at Shardlow closed? I have seen reference to it being open in 1989, but none later than that.

 

Any thoughts or memories, anyone? All help gratefully received.

Can I piggy-back this to ask when the "Lady in Grey" in Shardlow closed?

In Wilne Lane it closed after a fire in 2008.

However the first time I dined there in 1974 it was located on London road next to the filled in basin just before the bridge.

Yes, it's the London road site that I remember.
