Can a bubble tester be fitted vertically.

Featured Posts

As we have little room in our gas locker we have been advised that we can fit a bubble tester vertically to fit in the locker. Just asking for some advice as to whether this is the case as we were led to believe they are meant to be horizontal.

Whilst you might be able to obtain a bubble tester designed to be fitted vertically (and possibly significantly more expensive as they are not a common item), all the ones I've seen MUST be mounted horizontally in order to work. When actually testing the system they need to be reasonably level, though under normal use (not testing) they can be tilted as would be expected if the boat heeled over.

change "operated" to "be fitted"
