Speedboat seen doing 25+mph on the Lancaster canal.

In the September issue of Waterways World  page20 there is a piece with pictures of a speedboat doing 25+ mph on the Lancaster canal near Scotforth.  It was filmed by a tow path walker Andrew Lucas who has put the video on social media.

Disgraceful - I mean, fosters??

It was bad actually - I think it was around midnight they passed me, really lifted the boat well up in the water and then smacked me down again on the bottom. Worst I’ve experienced by far
