Hopper Windows

All Oaks

Hi All

As part of the restoration of my boat (All Oaks) I have removed all the windows for refurbishing and I am one piece missing. This is the strut that sits in between the main glass and the hopper glass.

It is a length of aluminium 30 inches long (it is actually 1/16th short of 30 inches) that sits on the interior side of the window. I've seen entire windows for sale around the £100 mark but ideally I would just like the strut at a fraction of the cost. Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere that may have one?

Try a local stockists of Aluminium profiles.  You may need to take in a sample of the shape needed, and you may need to buy a whole length.

Alternatively, contact the original window supplier, if you know who made them.  They probably use the same stuff today, if they are still going.

If you post pictures someone will probably identify the original maker.
