Equalisation charge - is it a waste of time?

Mine are just plain hinged caps, so I don't think they're hydrocaps? But I still don't know if I was supposed to remove them for the equalisation charge? What does everyone else do?

Hydro caps are the watering system. You have normal caps. Leave them on during equalisation - they have a built in vent. If you remove them, you get micro-splashing of acid from where the tiny bubbles burst. Not a massive problem but it can leave a fine mist of acid in the vicinity. Which is not ideal!
