  1. Trinity marina in Hinckley would fit your needs, it's only 10 miles from the west side of Leicester. You could also try market Bosworth

  5. Whatever you buy, there are loads around (particularly the larger bedroom type 16-17" screens) that have a 12volt input. Just through away the transformer part and power directly from your boats 12 volt supply, not having to rely on mains.
  6. Colecraft for me everytime, well once actually 10 years ago. The boat was true and square making bulkheads easy to make from templates. All roof and side strengtheners were perfectly fitted, making the lineout easy etc etc. I would definitely have it spray lined by a reputable company and have the engine installed though. Finally, they were reasonably priced and stuck to the quote. Incidentally they manufactured their first dutch barge earlier this year, I spoke to the owner when passing it was gorgeous. If he's on here, put some photo's up, it was a looker. [no connection to colecraft]
  7. I damaged a prop a few years ago and had to fit a second hand one. I kept the orignal, which I thought was Bu****ed and took it to crowthers in Oldham. They remanufactured it like new. I then swapped them over and had the spare repitched. Its kept as an emergency spare now. as with all these things, i'll probably never need it, but that's what a spare is for. its a 20 x 15, if anyone is desparate.should add it's often cheaper "up north"- about £100 cheaper.
  8. It did thanks. just seems odd that you have to use a web based library or similar, rather than insert if straight from your laptop, which is what is was trying to do. if you make the rack with rebates in it to take the pedal shafts, requiring the inside pedal to be at the bottom, it will have sufficient clearance from the roof.
  9. Yep, the 4mm clear perspex works great, sealed in the draft excluding tape. Been using it for years. if its fitted snuggly, it will eliminate the condensation. having a woodburning stove will take the moisture out of the air too.
  10. Staffs and Worcester, try a day on the Severn too, it's delightful. No contest.
  11. not sure of this uploads, nut made my rack to fit two bikes on the roof. It took couple of hours and once the handlebars are flattened (loosen the top bearing very slightly) they are low enough to go under the bridges on the Caldon. no, the foto doesn't upload, sorry
  12. Oxalic Acid will susually shift stains that are similar to these. I had some water ingress leaving stains similar to how these sound. mix it 10% w/w and the results are great. not sure about the cause but reckon it sounds like roof vents / windows. agree with JR. spending that sort of money on a boat - get a survey (in and out)
  13. Thanks mike, Changing from blue bottle butane. When I installed the gas pipes, I used 8 or 10mm rather than the standard 3/8 fittings. Although it has passed the BSS on two occasions, I still feel uneasy about it, so have decided to start again. I then took the decision to let an expert do it, so I can be confident in not failing the BSS, more importantly, not to have any problems free here on. the cooker runs on both. Didn't even think you could use Natural Gas. the only natural gas on our boat comes from a heavy night out, or from the wife!
  14. thanks very much. hadnt realised that register had the search facility. cheers
