  1. Where do i start ... well i recently did an oil filter/oil change on my BMC 1.5 , simple enough you would think?! (with a little help from the oil filter thread) everything seemed to go well ..ok i had knocked the engine temp gauge wire but shouldnt have caused to many problems. I went to turn her over and there was a click from the starter motor and a bit of smoke from behind the control panel. Ok i had the engine running just before the oil change and was fine . RCR came out and apart from the seemingly obvious the starter was sticking or kaput, but they couldnt work out the problem with the wiring as it kept burning out and advised i get a sparky in. Thing is everything was fine before the oil change... coincidence? Regards Ollie

  6. I have a problem. I have to do an oil and filter change on my BMC 1.5. Some good posts on this thread and the info has been taken onboard. However the way my engine bay is and more to the point the way the engine sits in the bay there is no way i can get down to the sump nut without taking half the engine apart i dont think :/ (thinking i might be able to if i remove the oil filter?) Would there be any other way of draining the sump ? Thanks for any replies in advance Ollie

  17. Hi, this might be a bone question but i was wondering which transmission fluid would suit my PRM 120? is there a specific brand or would any fluid off the shelf do? Thing is im currently on my way from Bedford to Chester and am currently on the Nene and have limited places to purchase Transmission fluid. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Ollie PS if that was 'Mucky Duck' off here who just passed me at the Nene valley railway mooring i think the next place for Diesel is at March on the middle levels.
  18. I wouldnt even begin ,obviously some people were 'Born to raise.....locks' and some people will never learn anything and should stand in the corner and be laughed at. I havent voted and never will do on a poll which is negative (i feel is Negative) As for manners yes i feel like manners in everyday life have gone to the dogs, no nods or thank yous , no helping your fellow man in any way shape or form and is not exclusive to the waterways. In my view. All the very best Ollie
