  1. As a school boy I once made a batch of chocolates and laced them with some sort of Xlax and handed them out the following day at school. No one ever realised

  3. I admit the original link was out of date but added because it contained some useful information. Maybe I should have provided a more specific and appropriate link but I honestly thought if anyone had any real intrest they could easily used google themselves, at that point I hadn't looked at the company's house link myself. I lived not far from there for a good few years and the marina was private and owned by the Middletons or at least they had a financial intrest ( the family who used to own chirk castle and still live there) and I think it was one of the historic anomalies that didn't need a boat licence to use. All of the above could have changed since I left but as far as I understand the place is private and has no link with CRT. Anyway I've learned a lot more about Chirk marina than I ever wanted to
  4. Hope this works http://www.letmegooglethat.com/?q=Marine+services+chirk%2C+companies+house
  5. God sake, google marine services chirk, this will bring up a companys house web link which shows the marina is privately owned, for some reason i am unable to copy the link over. I think the Middleton family have an intrest in the place but all that information is available via google
  6. I might just mention again, unless it has changed hands recently, which it might but a quick google hasn't found any obvious information, Chirk marina is private and has bugger all to do with CRT https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/2012/10/04/chirk-golf-club-closes-after-failure-to-find-a-buyer/
  7. Blue lights are used in similar locations for this purpose, just needs a bulb change though hardly serious planning
  8. I am behind junior completely on this
  9. Is this Chirk marina? Unless things have changed it's private

  14. Not at all, I came into boat ownership for all the wrong reasons ( somewhere to live) with no boat experience and no knowledge about boats and after the first few days of fear and panic I lived on cloud 9. This didn't last long, about 5 years or so and I them became complacent and drifted onto cloud 8.5 and live there to this day. Good isnt it?

  16. Coal, sssshhhhh don't tell anyone but coal is really a failed experiment by the dinosaurs in the use of compost bogs. It was all that stockpiled poo that caused a pandemic and caused the extinction
  17. You would think so wouldn't you but many just sort of crumble, big classic whole tree failure is resonably rare, forestry plantations excluded, its just the big tree fails are obvious and very visable. Not often I get the chance to get geeky on here
  18. that sounds like the basis of most of my reports
  19. Yup they DO fall over but relative to the number of trees very few of them do. I've seen that photo before and would have liked to poke around to see why it went over
  20. No they don't, so many don't fall over in fact

  22. I am already excited, packed my bag and everything
