Not much you can do about condensation on the windows except just thank god you dont get it anywhere else. I have seen some boats with it staining all the woodwork. Windows is not really a problem (just a pain in the a£$se, I put tissues under each window and go around often mopping up, better than being cold which is the alternative solution. What is needed,? Well, Some call it ventilation but basically what is needed is the inside keeping the same temperature as the outside, .................No thanks. Mopping up is a far better option IMO

I might be worried drinking the water from the tank of an older boat, my boats are new and with stainless steel tanks so I am very happy to drink it, mind you like I said I do have one tap with filtered water

No, the roof of the one I saw seemed to be a continuation of the boats roof ie/ steel, the sides were timber and glass.

I use web and walk, (Tmobile). I have a 3 Gcard which was fine at first, but when they upgraded somthing it went off so I put my phone in the cratch and conected via bluetooth to my pc. Re` terms and conditions, I wouldnt take them too seriously. In my case My service started off fine, then after 6 months they cut me off along with some of my free services like Msn and other messengers. My 3 g card suddenly wouldnt work. I called in to complain and cutting a long story short, they say when I upgraded to have a certain amount of phone calls free as well as the internet, it seems I was sold the wrong package and when they updated whatever it was they updated, mine wouldnt work at all with the 3 G card, it only worked useing my mobile as a modem, and funny enough they said this was impossible. I got so sick and tired of calling them (no body seemed to know the facts of my contract) I just continued useing it in the manner they said was imposible

I saw a boat today with a fancy cratch, looked a bit like a greenhouse type of thing, wooden frame and glass (the width of the boat), looked pretty permanent to me. Has any body else seen this type of thing and if you have one, how the hell do you mange NOT to knock them clean off in tunnels or low bridges?

You must have a good insurance co, I never heard of one paying out to anybody who shouldnt be on the water, ie not licensed, I thought it was a common trick to escape paying out that they used. ie/ If you are not licensed then you should not be on the water and therefore accident should not have happend, unless of course you are where no licence is required. I hope (for your sake) your right about your insurance, and you could well be

yes I`m sure I know for a fact this paticular guy has never yet had a licence and hes proud of it, I just cant believe how he gets away with it continuously

I cant understand it, i`ve seen wardens or what ever they are looking at unlicensed boats and just walking on to the next , never yet seen any type of ticket. If I had I suspect the owner would simply chuck it in the cut and move off rather quickly to another location. What would these parking type tickets say?

You might find in the small print you are infact not insured if you are not licenced, not that it bothers me, just didnt want you under any delusions
