  1. LOL and lots of vingar on your chips.
  2. You may find it better to speak to enforcement officers of certain localities and let them know what you are looking for. We got a boat for £50 under section 8 which just needed collecting. Some marinas have deals with certain officers too. Get chatting to a few. They are only to pleased to see an old boat brought back to its former glory. What are you after by the way?
  3. Ah very sorry to here this. You could perhaps try to play on the marinas good will to meet you half way or something. How much was the boat? 30K for example isnt sold as seen in my book. I doubt very much the fault wasnt known by the previous owner. Was the boat tested in the water? Making a lot of noise may make a diference to certain attitudes. Just becasue things are done a certain way that dose not mean an exception cannot be made.
  4. Errrr so i will screw pots and roof storage down so it does not end up in the water thats act 7 sorted. If a boat is legally moored and mooring has been payed for BW have indirectly admitted the boat is suitably moored by providing mmoring. The passing vessel must prove all means were used to pass to prove a case without causing damage otherwise a counter claim can be made. If the boat has managed to move then no obstruction has ben caused. Pleeease...

If heating a boat costs more then would using a wood burner with found/salvaged scrap wood not equate to free/cheap heat? That would be one aspect of things being cheaper. Personally I think its the appeal to the life style not a financial choice.
  6. It suprises me this. Why on earth should boaters not put pots, bikes, wood, coal ect on their roof? Perhaps a sign from othe victims perpective should be put next to the BW sign. This activity could course danger to flu's and chimneys.
  7. Hi and thanks for the reply. The topcoat is yacht paint from paintmaster. I suppose i could try a bit and see how it goes. Thanks again.
  8. I know some people say dont paint the gelcoat of a boat as it decreases value but this boat looks tatty and needs a paint. What is the best way to prep the gelcoat? Shall I just dull it done with a very light wet and dry sanding? Do I need an undercoat?
  9. Thanks for that. 13 inches seems a bit small. Our current ones are 18. Real shame that. Thanks.
  10. Our boat needs some of the glass replacing. We are considering 4mm plastic. We have realised that none of the windows other than two open. They just rest at a slight angle so they are open at the top. Security wise these windows could just be booted and will pop out. We are consearned in the event of a fire we would have problems smashing a plastic window to escape. Plus in warm weather it will be very warm if windows cant open. Finally is there anyway be can make our windows so they do open? Or should we take the windows out and replace the whole unit?
  11. Thanks for the replies. Its on Ebay now 260242096222
  12. Does anyone have a ballpark idea of how much a totally refurbed Waverider 27 footer grp boat is worth with new outboard or without an engine? It has Smev sink unit and cooker, shower with proper plastic walls, hot water heater, new kitchen units, work surface. Sorry no pictures.
  13. Hi its in an 8' by 4' sheet 4mm. I will be finding out what else they do it in apart from white tommorow hopefully.
  14. We are seriously thinking about taking our boat to France. At present its a bit of a dream becasue we dont now how possible it is. Is it posible to cc in France? What kind of documentation is needed? Is there any books worth buying on the idea? Thanks.
