  1. Wait for it to poo? Minky are stinky but an otter is not-ter
  2. We got our boat loan by telling them it was for a car, they are quite happy as they figure if you can't repay then they get the car. If you say its for a boat then they'll just get that sinking feeling.
  3. Its not bad, no mention of boat licence, insurance, touches on mooring http://property.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life...icle5146333.ece
  4. The more forms you have to fill makes their job more secure

  6. Hiho folks - silly question 12v inline water pump for shower drainage Should I put it low so it has to push the water up and out the side of the boat or put it high so it has to suck the water high and then exits level out the side? Details for those bored enough to read I have a combined shower and bilge pump, 2 taps to choose if you want to empty bilge or shower All was fine until the waste pipe for the shower got clogged, some of its big plastic but at some point hidden under the floorboards it becomes a skinny copper pipe. I bought a long flexible rod but that didnt clear it. I bought a pump up pipe unblocker and manged to get water flowing but very slowly. Couple more squirts I thought, blew the bottom off the shower so it empties straight into the bottom of the boat. Have decided to put a 12v pump next to the shower and exit out the side of the boat, see you can do this sort of thing with woodentops! Should I make the pump push the water up 3ft out the side or position it higher Do they suck or blow? Many thanks

  12. Is that the grand designs one where some mad Chinese lady made a top heavy structurally unsafe floating church that offended anyone who saw it or had to live nearby? Watched that one through my fingers!
  13. And the banks are in charge of the Treasury Another 100 billion? Is that all together or each?
  14. Good luck! We'll all be round for that BBQ this summer
  15. Agree with Sueb, beautiful deli in Ellesmere, made our holiday a bit more special. Make sure you keep mobiles in your jeans pocket rather than your mac because they don't float.
  16. Yep this is the life. Come home to feed the Canada geese and the swans. Watch the coots dismal attempts to build a nest in a fender/ old tyre. Lighting the fire just to keep the chill off rather than survival!
  17. "Fire service, Police, Education, Footpath and road maintenance, Street Lighting, Libraries, Care for the elderly and those in need etc.etc.etc." So if i pay 800 quid a month for that, where does the other 28% of my pay packet disappear to? Invading Iraq, buying out failing banks,etc....
