Went past Billinge Green Flash (which is imbetween Northwhich and Middlewhich) last week sometime.. and a signpost stated that the land in that area, on the offside will be developed into a marina. Can anyone shed more light on this?

I can see what Chris is getting at. It is just not fair! Gaggle, I can see your point of view, but if we just leave them to get on with it, these types of people will just make a mess of everything, take more moorings up, and generally give the area a bad name and make it look untidy. Why should we have to continue to another not so good mooring outside of the town or village because of some selfish bugger! There's an on going problem close to where I keep my boat. There are some really lovely moorings in a little village and, time after time, it is occupied by the same old boats. Not fair! The more of you that complain to BW the better.. I can't do that in my case, unfortunately, as I have the bad luck of having a mooring on the Bridgewater and Peel Holdings are not exactly canal friendly... to put it blunty they're assholes only interested in property, which is another story completely..

Yeah I agree with the part that not everyone will be able to do it. The price of hosting is relatively cheap when broken up between a group of people. It's not really my place to say as I don't manage/own the forum or account etc, but if say 10 people were to donate 50p per month, that's £2.50 and even though it's a small amount, it would help Jon with the cost, and maybe be able to up the bandwidth limit on the canalworld hosting account. I know that visitors are having problems with the image gallery, but it may be worth while looking for a less graphically intense forum theme. Simple text with one or two images would load quicker for people on slower connections and it would also save alot on bandwidth. There's a few solutions.. but I don't want to stick my nose in as the general running has nothing to do with me. Jon knows where I am if he wants to chat
