I have no idea where to put this so am sticking it here. No doubt it will get moved to the right place. Does anyone know of any legends or stories or "hauntings" or anything that's not "real" about the canals in the UK? Are there any supposed nymphs or beasts amongst us (don't answer that actually) like in Scottish waters or any rivers in the UK? I'd love to hear some stories. Thanks

I hope everyone was ok. We were out on the boat yesterday and passed many people coming back from Camden having been turned around. I can't find anything in the local papers about it at all. Poor bastards.

Just back. We phoned a farmer friend who suggested it was the clutch. It was. Went like the clappers after it was fixed (apart from all the weed and plastic bags) It's amazing how many people you see chucking rubbish into the canal, eh?

Yes the prop us turning with no propulsion. We have taken s lit if water out and it's sitting quite low in the rear Scuse typing. IPhone and fat fingers

We are out on a trip and the boar keeps losing propulsion. We have changed the oil and cleared the weed hatch a million times. Any ideas please? Boat even. The boar is fine.

Thanks all. We've kind of sluiced it into a corner and are keeping it tamed with some home made bollardy things. We've mopped as much as we can up with some industrial mat type things that are used in vast catering areas and that seems to have worked a bit. The coots are back anyway so that must be a good thing.
