  1. Fortunately Corona the beer company were on the ball and immediately set their marketing department to work on re-branding :
  2. As is often the way in a crisis some people respond with humour. I've seen some pretty good ones so far To get the ball rolling: Editor[15].mp4
  3. Yes. A case of irresponsible, sensationalist reporting. Fact 1. What they actually found was the RNA of the covid 19 virus. That doesn't mean the virus was still active/active or capable of infection. It would be surprising if they did not find the RNA of the virus on a ship that recently had lots of active infections aboard. Fact 2. This was before the ship was disinfected. The only possible value in this story was that they found traces in the cabins of people that were asymptomatic. But we already know that now. People not exhibiting any symptoms can be infected and shedding the virus. Detailed info below: btw this guy's daily YT channel is a great resource of rational analysis on the ongoing situation, along with sensible advice.
  4. Not him, but it came up in the ( I think same) YouTube thread from someone else. Something about "It's funny how when they switch on 5g everyone gets sick and when they switch it off everyone gets better." I think that comment was why I bailed out
  5. ?Hey, hey we're the Numptees, We're just retarding around... ? Even yesterday I saw someone insisting that everyone in the world (apart from him) were wrong and naive because they couldn't see that it was all a hoax and actually a plot for the (illuminati/NWO/masons/aliens etc.) to take complete control. Darwinism in action.
  6. Tixall Wide at dawn this frosty morning. Not the worst place to be stranded on a boat
  7. India? For sure. It's baksheesh central. Corruption is absolutely the norm. It's an Indian copper's dream gig to get posted to Goa - where they can make big money by extorting cash from naive western hippies by planting substances, stopping motorbikes and demanding documentation which no hirers bother providing. Consequently it's a hippie's worst nightmare to get pulled over by an honest Indian copper (who you can't make go away with a few hundred rupee notes)
  8. ...to a place where they could to negotiate how much baksheesh (money) he'd have to pay them to let him go. I Indeed
  9. He must be involved in enforcing the lockdown ? To be specific 2 foot long, inch and a half thick, rattan canes - (having witnessed Indian police persuasion methods first hand)
  10. "persisting down" I hope you'll forgive my presumptuousness, but my OCD couldn't allow an otherwise excellent photo to be marred by not being quite level:
  11. Are you sure? "Pump out the volume, pump out the volume..." I'm pretty sure that came out on 12" vinyl
  12. Does the boat version come as cassette or pump out?
  13. I thought I knew that spire. You've caught it in nice light too, near sunset ? It's a gorgeous church at Braunston Me too
  14. For authenic Indian curry, using ghee rather than substituting it with oil may be a factor. FWIW having travelled extensively in India I've found Indian cuisine from a decent curry house in Britain is at least as good and often better than the Indian food I've eaten in India. With the notable exception of Pakhora for some reason.
  15. Er... I hate to break it to you but... ? Nah, I know what you mean. Anyway, as long as you don't start with the "You're me best pal..." you're safe
  16. He might have it the wrong way around given F84 HMS Exmouth was an anti-submarine frigate.
  17. And while I'm sifting through videos, some daredevilry on the Basy. IIRC the bridge is listed as 5' 10" 20190514133452_MVI_6367.MP4
  18. Dawn at Eelmoor Flash on the Basingstoke canal... 20190512061445_MVI_5980.MP4 20190512060239_MVI_5964.MP4
  19. New Heat - yes ,I've used about 6 bags. I found it pretty good. Equivalent to or slightly better than Excel. Medium/low ash yield. But it was relatively expensive per kilo as it came in 20kg bags rather than the standard 25kg sacks. Call me a cynic, but I'd say the 20kg bag shtick is more about stealth inflation than providing convenience. Not a bad fuel tho'
