  10. We're doing the ring anti-clockwise at snails pace, so I'm interested in the replies here. Hope to add to the thread as we go along. Presently we're on the Coventry, going onto Braunston, through the Leicester arm with a few diversions then onto Gt Haywood and beyond.

  12. When we had our galley refurbed, I wanted to keep some of the kitchen 'environment' from the rest of the boat, and to stop splashes going onto the upholstery. The 'half' glass petition will also (hopefully) help contain any fire from the hob which is about 9" from the glass. It's set in two grooves (on the left and bottom), and can be lifted easily out. The left piece of wood is shaped to the tumblehome so the glass could be cut straight. We ordered the tinted 4mm toughed glass cut to size, and it came finished with the edges bevelled and polished, it was just under £105 delivered. Glass website https://www.glasstops.co.uk/

  14. That's a good point. Our long bodied German Shep has his own 'winding' points onboard our boat. Normally he has three points, but if the bathroom's sliding door is left open, he has four points

  16. Good point, I thought it was my browser doing something weird last night. Mouse over the arrows and it says 'vote this answer up'

  18. Awwww my word, what a beaut! Love those eyes, he's got the look that's guaranteed to get him all he wants. Have you got a jacket or harness for him, if he falls in the canal he'll find it difficult to get out, you'll need a 'handle' on him to pull him out! Enjoy!
