  1. Haulage estimates are usually costed on depot, where the vehicle is based, back to depot. So it won't matter how far the 'load' has to travel.
  2. We went to the Cotton Arms in Wrenbury while in hire boat last year. The food was very good although it was Saturday night so don't about Sunday roast. Two of us chose the same meal off the menu, when the food arrived is was slightly different than we ordered, upon refusing the meal as it wasn't our order, transpires the menu had been changed recently but not all the menu cards had been updated, we accepted the 'different meal' hearing that, but the manager didn't charge us for those two meals and we got a free round of drinks as compensation.
  3. It just could be the fire service were called because if somebody had knocked on the boat and got no reply, in this particular case owner was away, the firemen could use their Infrared cameras to see if anybody on board and possibly injured.
  4. The Leeds & Liverpool does have locks, sections are without some so depends where you are thinking of going. The Lancaster Canal is entirely free of locks, 41 miles long, apart from the Glasson Branch which is optional as you don't have to go down it. Not too far from Nantwich.
  5. This coming Wednesday BBC4 tv 9:00pm - Spider House. How they eat, sleep and drink....alongside us. Astonishing displays and behaviours of our eight-legged friends/foes.
  6. Talking of names, saw one today in Liverpool's Salthouse Dock called The Kids Inheritance. Love it.
