  1. I imagine there’s not much chance of the Welsh spelled name getting 351 Boats in the CaRT boat index. With 3 your Colecraft may be the last, I take it you are Welsh?
  2. OK, you’re getting boring now. Better?
  3. OK Gender, you’re getting boring now.
  4. Well you couldn’t offer advice on steering a 60ftx12ft widebeam using a wheel or tiller as you say you’ve never done it and only watched it being done.
  5. Sorry but you can’t even get the OP’s sexuality right. It was a woman who started the post and the same question was asked a year ago with detailed information, so it could quite easily of been restarted, as many posters are the same to this one and the other.
  6. A new member could always reply to an old Post which covers their question bringing it back to the top and any new information from new people and up-to date experience from previous posters could be added and discussion restarted.
  7. I take it your boat wasn’t called “Kingfisher”
  8. No it’s not. Using the search engine or any search engine saves time, as if the question has been asked before they can find all the relevant answers and information straight away, saving them time waiting for people to post their replies.
  9. Put your own number on, Birthday, Anniversary, children’s birthday, lucky/unlucky number and keep people guessing like yourself?
  10. Some builders put numbers on like Louis & Joshua running in sequence for the boats they built. I think the last one they built was around No 150??? (Someone on here might know the exact No) There is a Jonathan Wilson “No1 Embrace” which they say was the first complete boat he built, hence the No1. I think most newer boats the numbers are just for show or maybe have some relevance to the owner maybe a birthday??
  11. As I say all your posts show nothing that leans towards anyone with any technical experience or worthwhile experience that is worth listening too.
  12. Why should it come with a sellers survey? I would never trust a sellers survey unless I personally knew the Survey and could ask him about it. Please see this Post for an example of not having a survey on a 30 year old boat and taking the sellers survey as legit. At least it’s not a Spinger though.
  13. Just like everything you have contributed to the thread, Irreverent to the initial question. Looking at all your other posts you don’t really contribute anything positive or knowledgeable that much, you just seam to post for the sake of posting, maybe to get your post count up to look an active experienced member since you only joined in February, or just maybe you just don’t have that much experience in the real world????
  14. Well tell her what’s it like to move a boat around in a Marina with a wheel or tiller.
  15. How have you helped? Please give us your advice with 60ft x 12ft boats with tiller and wheel and how they differ on river and canal. The search function is there for a reason, one of them is to find information or answers to questions already asked.
  16. Just scroll down and you will find the relevant one. Obviously you can’t be bothered to look.
  17. Just click on the search icon on the top of the screen and put in “Tiller or Wheel” and you’ll find the same question was asked with lots of replies and advice.
  18. Please do a search as this has been asked many times before with good advice. Will save you time and typing. Heres on after a quick
  19. He says he has had boats before and has put a couple of pictures on one of his Vlogs. The scary thing is he says it’s normal for the seller to get a survey done prior to putting his boat on the market, I just hope people don’t believe him who watch his Vlog. I suspect that the seller of the boat had to get a survey as the boat was 30 year old for his insurance company. The surveyor picked the faults up and he quickly got rid as cheap as he could. I doubt the couples story of it having a good survey prior to them buying, as he never answers questions regarding it. All he says is “it had a good survey” obviously a doctored old one looking at the state of the hull.
  20. They say in their Vlog these were only identified after it had been power washed, but watch the Vlog of it getting lifted, he seams to know there’s something wrong with the back end???? I puzzle why it was lifted out, as if it had a full survey a year earlier it would of been out of the water and the ideal time for the seller to blacken prior to putting it on the market, after all this is why he had it surveyed according to the new owners(Vloggers)
  21. The whole thing seams odd especially the last two Vlogs, If you know boats it makes no sense. It’s as if they have somehow known about the holes and problems. Maybe they were mentioned when they bought the boat and got it so cheap and don’t want you to know, as they just say “it had a good survey” and never mention anything to back this statement up, but to miss all those issues the original Surveyor wants shot. If it was me I’d be mentioning names and asking serious questions of his incompetence and professionalism, but the Vloggers are not answering the questions asked about the sellers pre-purchase survey, which again is odd. To be honest I’m just waiting for the Crowd Funding appeal to start?
  22. I wonder if a surveyor has ever done any testing with a hammer on this boat i.e giving the hull a good wack. As some of the places where the holes were found look very thin and weak.
  23. You should always seek professional advice and if not use an experienced person you trust with a proven track record in the business. Like everything the quality of Vloggers vary, these “Boating Beyond” said it was normal for a seller to survey before putting on the market, this is just wrong and dangerous advice, look what has happened to them.
