  1. And that reply exactly sums up why your tirade is worthless. As soon as someone asks you for details on how to solve the problem you can't. Here are the questions again if you've forgotten them: What do you SENSIBLY suggest? Would you like pay points on all entrances? What has the fact that I don't own a boat got to do with it? Would you prefer it if only boat owners contributed to this Forum?
  2. The problem with that is these 2 way fridges are very inefficient on 12v, and will either take a very long time to cool or will only cool to a certain number of degrees below the ambient temperature. They are also very "power hungry"!! (Experience from having one in a caravan where the 12v is only used when the engine of the tow car is running)
  3. And how have you calculated what amount they pay? It doesn't matter if it is one penny or a thousand pounds, every one is a contributor to CaRT's coffers through the general taxation system. And as I have pointed out not all cyclists behave in that manner, so you are, as usual, making inaccurate and unfounded generalistions to continue your pointless anti-CaRT tirade. And you still haven't answered my earlier questions!
  4. Funny, but the tow paths I generally walk don't seem to have a problem with cyclists, and the few that I do meet are generally polite and riding sensibly. Next incorrect generalisation from you Tony? And I see you are still ignoring the questions I asked you earlier.

  6. So I DO pay! Not what you said earlier. And no I haven't calculated the figure and have no interest in doing so, as it is immaterial, except in your warped ideas. And how about answering the other questions?
  7. Oh dear, you really don't like people who disagree with you, do you? As I pay tax I pay towards the tow paths, and since I walk on those said tow paths I am therefore paying to use them. What do you SENSIBLY suggest? Would you like pay points on all entrances? What has the fact that I don't own a boat got to do with it? Would you prefer it if only boat owners contributed to this Forum?
  8. We all pay towards the towpath, not just boat users.
  9. Correct, it has got NOTHING to do with this!

  11. Really? And where does it say that CaRT own this 6'? Please provide evidence.

  14. As I've never owned my own boat, or lived on one other than on holiday, am I therefore precluded from being on this forum? I don't think so. Perhaps you need to rethink your ideas!

  17. It isn't a requirement of this Forum to do so. So your point is?

  21. David/dhutch, There has been some excellent advice on here which I hope has helped. Personally I'd go for the September October months as they are quieter and often more settled weatherwise. I presume this must be your own boat you are using because it is very rare for a hire company to loan to a single-hander. And do I recognise the "dhutch" name from another (non-boaty) forum?

  24. Whilst they might be built like tanks with a solid but basic fit-out, when we had to use one early in the season we found that the insulation was a lot poorer than our (broken down) shareboat.
  25. EDIT C B A!
