there you go that comment was made tongue in cheek .but if people can not see that ..what would you call them silly or some thing else .i now what i would like to call them and tell them where to go ,but i would maybe get it in the ear .there are many many boaters out there who can do exactly what op is wanting and maybe they have offered there help in a private pm .and as for cheap goods and and tax what ever its the world we live in i am afraid .and not as it was 100 years ago they are all at it .amazon ebay gumtree viverstreet bargain pages and many many more ,not that any of this will help the op or any one else ..

hi you have done all you can on your side to prepare .just go for it . most narrowboat people will tell you its all trial and error.. .well it was in my case ..put safety first at all times rob .and keep a straight face and you are laffing ...the doom and gloom people will tell you dont do this dont do that ,the more you listen to them the more daunting it will seem ..enjoy. i have like most done the llan ..more times then i can remember .i am sure you will be fine let me now how its goes

i have never paid that much for fuel ..most i have ever paid is 90p least i paid is 23p but that was in the year 2002 lol

crt guy just told me abt 4 weeks ..but the same guy told me it was the valve at chase water ..he also said as they got the iron man event this weekend at chase water and they dont want to turn the valve on ....funny old world hey .could being stuck on the bed of the canal for 5/6 weeks do any damage regards

thanks every one ..for that just let the engine running seems to have done the trick,i would sooner had gone for a cruise but as there is lack of water ..i stay put ...thanks again at least i now not to fill the tank to the top ...every day is a school day

as the water is so low around my boat ..should i lightly scrape the algae of while i can ,,or just leave it ..i was told it dont do any harm ..but hey what do i know ..i am sure you nice people will tell me thanks again

hello folks over the last couple of week ..i noticed diesel in the canal ..where i am moored ..not great amounts but still ....this morning when i went out side ,there was diesel again ...on the back of the boat there is what i would call some sort of valve abt 4 inch high with holes around it ..and trickles of diesel was coming from it and running down the side of the boat ..and going in the cut ...the tank is full also i have got the engine running at the moment ..and nothing is coming out this valve ..or some sort of breather valve ..sorry to be so vague again but i would appreciate you thoughts on this regards haza

i just phoned again and sent photos to is mobile they are working on this ...if the fish where in any danger they would soon be on it ..nothings changed since yesterday ..while im here going of subject ..why is diesel coming out of the safty valve thanks or do i ask in a new thread

h no theres no leak ..all is going to be honky dory in a few hours so the very very nice man told me .nothing more to do now then watch good old corra

well well just had a very nice fella on the phone to me ..some one at chase water had turned the valve off ..crt thought there was a breach some where but as it turned out there was not ..kieth the very nice man said it should start to rise now ..the very nice man said they had to ask chase water to turn the valve on .as crt dont own chase water any more but they do own the water ...????? well you learn something every day yes john 6767 indeed they do need to know ..and they do now ..but saying that if they did now in an instant ..i dont think they could have done a lot abt it ...do you ...in less jc helps them out

well lets just see what happens ..this is how i think it will go ..crt just said they are sending some one out to see me ..now i think that some one will be about four blokes one doing the talking the other three ..well i dont now what they will be doing ..

just been down to the overflow .and indeed its a good 8 inch down also as i got back to my boat its on the bed of the canal ...i phoned crt and explained ..im awaiting a call back

im near brownhills im looking at the waterline now ..and i would say its down more then 12 inch ..if i knew how to put photos up i would ...why would i say such a thing if it was not so ,,
