  1. An answer for a different topic. Just looking for handyman advice. Thanks
  2. Thank you, And thank you, And thank you. Thanks Meanderingviking, I do love a bit of research so will make sure to check prices etc. Will let you know if that marine engineer will come in useful! Thank you, already enjoying very much.
  3. I understand the idea is to be helpful and take on board (no pun intended) people’s opinions and advice but I would really prefer advice and opinion on my original question. I spent a lot of time researching toilets and I really don’t consider myself at the forefront of any eco movement, it was just the toilet we decided on. Like I said feel free to message me any info you feel I don’t have. Thank you to those who did answer ?
  4. For us it was about the set up of the composting toilet and the need to not empty it so regularly without having a holding tank fitted, and not having the issues related to smell. If it comes to it we do actually own somewhere that has a little land and we do really like the actual toilet so ?‍♀️ thank you, so are we. Very pleased to be on the water.
  5. Of course, as I said we’re very new to this so all advice is very welcome...and needed. That said, this post is about us having a little help with some of the bits and bobs on the boat, I don’t want it to turn into a toilet thread, even I’ve read 100s of these. thank you though and happy to be pointed to any relavant info etc if you’re able to message.
  6. Thanks for that, will keep in mind. We will obviously be using the proper method for disposal.
  7. Thank you, will keep that in mind. We have got an airhead, so emptying the contents similarly to the way we would if we had a cassette.
  8. Hello and thanks. woodwork, bit of help with the windows, help installing our composting toilet.
  9. Hi there, We’re quite new to boating and have bought a lovely Narrowboat that we are currently living on in Milton Keynes. We have a few odd jobs, that need doing that we aren’t confident enough to do ourselves (yet!) but from what reading we’ve done, don’t necessarily need a particular trade. So we were wondering if there were any Narrowboat handy men in or around Milton Keynes, any suggestions etc would be most welcome. thanks :)
