  1. TRW just heading for the Vine. Captain Bligh can stay as long as he wants, I want a pint and then my bed.
  2. TRW about to start going downhill from the top of Titford. The Vine here we come.
  3. TRW up Farmers Bridge about 11.45. Hammering off up the main line. The gins were not large, they were their normal modest size. I am looking forward to having one with lunch. Seen a few challenge boats around having fun. It's s lovely day for boating.
  4. On bus trying to get back to sekrit location. Bus not moving.
  5. Three were delays at Camp Hill top lock yesterday and muttering sod problems at the Titford locks.
  6. I couldn't possibly say! You might guess the top secret starting point!
  7. TRW enjoying the morning sunshine in our chosen top secret starting place. No one knows where we are yet as we haven't seen any other boats. Of into town soon to meet up with assorted ships cats. We have plenty of gin, beer and food and crew will be in position by mid afternoon.

  9. I'm on the big boat! Still got a couple of hours of work yet but nearly there. I hope Wrigglefingers has unscrewed her leg so the staff can inspect the knee at a leisurely pace leaving the estimed Wriggly one free to get a move on.
  10. Red Wharf will have left her mooring now and should be getting into position for the first crew rendezvous late tonight. I am unreasonably excited! Looking forward to seeing everyone.
  11. Mrs Tawny Owl makes the best fruitcake on the cut. I am planning on drinking lots of gin/cider/beer, whatever is on offer at the time and being at HB in time for food and more beer/gin/cider.

  13. Yes but...Lapworth can be done in just over two hours then you're on the level and can arrive in B'ham centre to suit. If you go the other way you end up with Farmers Bridge at the end of the day. Knowle locks are broad, Camp Hill always seem to have low water levels, Ashstead is ok apart from the tunnel, and Farmers Bridge just finishes you off. The upper Stratford has the Blue Bell, Wedges and the chance to catch cars on the lift bridge at Shirley.
  14. Any one up for a banterette at the Manor on Saturday?
  15. Happy birthday, thanks for ordering such nice weather.
  16. Can you please add Tiggy to crew for Red Wharf.
