  10. Sorry not sure which section this should go. I have a viking cruiser and want to fit a shower, the problem is the current cubicle cannot be accessed underneath so what i was thinking was getting a shower tray that doesnt have the plug hole in it so i can fit a small 15mm skin fitting drain with a 90deg elbow straight out to the side into a pump. Does anyone know where a could get such a tray where the hole hasnt been put in. Geoff
  11. This year twenty three times i had to stop in total from Lydiate to dock and back, I even snapped a blade off the prop. We had everything from one ton rubble sack to hose pipes, friends had mattress,s sleeping bag, a tent, blankets, rope. Whilst i moan about the rubbish the dock is 100 % worth a visit. I cant understand why CaRT let it be such a mess.
  12. We sailed on bank holiday along leeds liverpool and went past about 20 spread over varying distances, no problems. One guy said him and his mate hadnt had a thing all day so we pulled over and gave them a beer each and had a chat. I been boating just on two years an only had one person glare at me in that time. Personally my view is that if i was fishing in a canal i would expect boats and hope that they would slow down, i have seen other boaters who are complete richard heads go through the swim like lunatics and that sort of disregard for a fellow canal user would only encourage ill feelings. No problems with fisherman, as in life you will always find a tosser if you look hard enough.
  13. Their are signs that have been put up by a resident home owner near me thats says no moorings allowed, i guess this is wrong then
  14. I would think mounted vertical the wind would blow through and dissipate the heat stored rather than flatish on the roof with white background to reflect heat back on to them.

  21. You need to leave windows open aswell so they space they fill with moist air doesnt reach dew-point. They do work ok depending on the moisture content of the air as niknorman said the moisture will remain on your skin if its not evaporated off by a lower vapour pressure. I personaly use a 12 inch desk fan of a night as its a lot quieter.
