Thats good John. Because of the new Landowner from Hell we have lost our mooring after 13 years and find myself in the same predicament as the boaters I was trying to help.

I mentioned having zoning and permits for liveaboards, in fact I spent a great deal of time and effort at that meeting in Skipton trying to get my ideas across.I have mentioned these ideas on this forum before the meeting and since to no great avail.

Is this not the solution I to put Sally Ash at the Boaters Meeting in Skipton?I am sure I did.Unfortunately too late for some as the harassment and threats made by CRT to the liveaboards in Skipton was too much and they have reluctantly left their boat.

I have read this quickly and may have missed some details,however it does look as if CRT is actually trying quite hard to use discussion rather than heavy handed tactics.

I have been toying with an idea of using the step system found on deckchairs.

It is quite possible for CRT to allow the use of an end of garden mooring or a CRT long term mooring by another boat.CRT need to be informed but this is usually just a formality.

I have my own story to tell and it is quite horrendous how I have been treated.I have not quite come to terms with what as recently happened concerning my moorings,a place I have had a boat for over 13 years.I was given 7 days notice to quit by the new landowner and I am now a CCer and have been for the last 2 days.The future is uncertain.

I would also add to a fund an amount of £100. I have been coming to this conclusion for some years now.

I don't see that it is anti hire boaters,Martin.The point about hirers needing tuition is valid.However you need to moor in an area with a multitude of hire boat companies to fully understand the stress created by some hirers.Most of these type of hirers are never going to be future boat owners,they are just out fer the crack.

I watched the Horizon programme about the Life Saver water purification system.I think this could be a good idea to use if unable to get to water points on the system.It showed the system being tested to the extreme,sewage being filtrated then drank by the interviewer.Price is around £250 for 20,000 litres of purified water.
