  1. Lets just hope we dont meet in unforseen circumstances! else it would be ''hang on stormy, i need to go on internet and ask members of CW what they suggest/best way!'' I need a member of CW in my pocket so when I need help I can just get them out and ask them lol x I now know where to come if I need any washing doing.... Thanks very muchly
  2. Hey up Julynian, just wish mine had fell in a pint of beer wouldnt have to go through all this stress! would be easier to find and dry out I guess. My daughter has health problems, and she's staying at her daddies this weekend, which is why its important for me to keep contact with him, Ive tried to go orange website, (whom I have my contract with) to see if any messages/calls have been left but its a no winner....I dont know anyones contact details off by heart nor my daughters dads. So im going to look like a bad mummy if she needs me for what ever reason. I know it was my fault in the first place, I was rushing trying to get my boat fixed, so only have myself to blame. Times like this I wish I had emergency number/secondary phone......
  3. Bet Im not the only one, but was doing some repairs to my boat this afternoon with help of a neighbour....was turning boat around in moorings to get a better position to fix, and oops a daisy, my mobile fell out of my top pocket straight into canal....not alot I can do about it now, but my neighbour got his net out and tried to fish it back out, after 20 mins or so, we gave up.....we was both hungry so cooked dinner for us both, and had a gin and tonic or 3 He's going to put his wetsuit on in the morning to see if he can find it, now thats what I call dedication and a very nice neighbour....he's also bilged my bottom out, (I couldnt work out why no water was coming out until he told me the bilge was upside down!!) told you I was thick but he said Ive seen much worse, mended little bits and also showed me how to tie knots... Coincidentally the name of his boat is Ooops ! Cant thank him enough for what he's done for me today, maybe I should rename my boat 'Jinks' or 'Ooops a daisy' think Im doomed from the start the way its going
  4. I am a postlady for Royal Mail, so I would appreciate it if you did use the Post boxes, it keeps me in a job at least As for the ''junk'' mail, many do not want it, neither do I but its one of the main income's for Royal Mail believe it or not! Ive been shouted out countless times by customers who get sick of it, but Im only doing my job, you can request not to have it delivered to your address but you cant do this for your bills unfortunately

  9. So feel for the owners, hope there all ok, as for the boat good to hear its insured, although wouldnt wish this on anyone..... I hate people that gloat on someone elses misfortune, watched many ''you tube'' vids today, how people can just sit back and not help when clearly you need it? they just sit there laughing......t*****'s even fellow boaters, thats what winds me up the most.......

  13. At least if you knew who owned them you could tell them that they had been washed ! Being new to it all myself I have found that 99.9% of the boating community will go out there way to give you advice/help in anyway which way they can, but you will always get that 1% who think they own the entire waterways system..... We and I have learnt from my mistakes too, and no doubt I will make many more but its thanks to this forum and advice given I hopefully wont make as many as I would without it. Regards Rachel
