  1. Long shot but has anyone a Switzer SZ-3200i generator? If so, do you know which spark plug it uses? We've been given one without one and can't find a manual online.
  2. There's both, a treatment and a protector. We've put the bug kill one in, just in case, and will use the protector next time we put diesel in.
  3. it's too late, we panicked and bought treatment!!
  4. Routine service that happened to be 11 days after a diesel fill. No additives before that Tony but has now got Exocet treatment added, just in case. It's a pale pinky/brown now it's dry.
  5. Found in the 1st diesel filter at service today.
  6. There's some incredible figures in it. For instance, page 5, the whole world population is only 7.9billion but it does say 'c' and a 'guesstimate' for dog visits so I suppose they've covered themselves for making up any number they thought of. Surely CRT could have featured a lock beam that was in good condition, see page 4?

  8. The strimmer belongs to a boater who moors at Shebdon, she left it behind by mistake. I've messaged you!
  9. This article has come up on FB. Made me wonder if insurance companies should be asked if they'll cover inland waterways boats charging phones etc on board. There have already been instances of near misses when these batteries have been found just in time on boats before they've caused the fire. However, I haven't heard of any boat fires where this has been the cause. https://marineindustrynews.co.uk/insurance-refusals-on-lithium-ion-boats/
  10. Latest thoughts are Camden and Joe Skinner.
  11. Whoa, don't shoot the messenger. Maybe copy this all in to an email to them? And this first of three vids being made to show the route has just come up on my FB feed:
  12. Oops, oh well, I'll leave the link on as it does tie in with the OP.
  13. The society that is attempting to restore the canal all the way to Shrewsbury is very much active: https://sncanal.org.uk/
  14. Apparently the fire brigade were called who helped them off the boat. This story just gets worse!
  15. I know of a live aboard psychotherapist who uses Zoom for client sessions.
  16. I should perhaps have written 'response' rather than policy. Wait 'til it breaks was admitted to though.
  17. Said in a meeting with CRT last year.
  18. CRT's admitted policy is no repair until both have failed so this is no surprise.
  19. Today, a reply from North West to a boater who asked about the potential problems on the Macc and PF this summer, see FB NABO page.
  20. This from a CRT email: Our local operations team are currently marking out suitable overnight moorings at the top of the Bosley Flight, reserved for those wishing to travel down the flight. Signage will be installed onsite to indicate these moorings and advising customers not to travel to the top of the flight until the lock flight opens at 8.30am on the morning of their passage. Signage will also be installed at Bridge 49A, Royal Oak Footbridge advising our customers of the temporary moorings ahead, that it will be subject to availability, and to not moor beyond Bridge 53, due to the long-term moorings here. We would hope all customers will be respectful of this advice and others.
  21. If that's at the top of Bosley, where are they queueing?
