Obviously i would not buy for one page! my op states i want a subscription to one magazine and as CB and WW recived about the same reviews it may help me decide

A bow thruster debate oh goody, never been on a boat with one fitted and have allways got where we are going (fairly) unscathed, i guess they may be usefull to get you out of the s@*t

Well that sparked an interesting debate, not sure i want any of them now corect me if i'm wrong but i think it was 4 recomendations for WW and CB 3 for PBO and 2 each for NB and watercraft (WC?). Is the Steve H who writes for CB the same chap who wrote a couple of books of his canal travels? if so i will try CB first as i enjoyed his books. Thanks all

Hello everyone, as you can see i am fairly new to the forum, although have been reading it for a while. Have been holidaying with my family on hire boats 2-3 times a year for a few year's and think the next step to boat ownership can only be a year or so away, weather we buy outright or get involved with a boat share is still up for debate. But thats not my question for today, just wanted to introduce myself as is the first time i have started a topic. I want to take out a subsciption to a canal/narrow boat magazine wonder'd which one's you would recomend. Pete

LED would be the way to go, available now from your local hydro shop. What about a trad style working boat? Canvas could be rolled back to use the natural power of the sun at the right time/place

if you disconect main supply cable from your battery you can conect your multi meter or volt meter between terminal and cable and should read zero, if you get a reading there is a voltage drain which you can then check by pulling fuses untill you find the problem one, then just have to check each device on that fuse
