  1. My on board charger has also been replaced with a Victron. Both chargers are independently wired and the originals disconnected so they can be put back when I sell it.

  3. I have a Victron 75/10 mppt controller Fully programmable if you know what you are doing😉
  4. Which is why I switched off my solar controller when the battery reached 100% mainly because the BMS on the Fogstar doesn't recognise current below 1amp and often that's all the solar is putting out in winter. With a maximum draw of 0.5A it will be a while before it needs recharging.
  5. Better to post the video Seems to remember an edited version with just the let it go bit 🤔
  6. Any chance of a link, search facility is not finding anything
  7. I will have to look into this, could be useful.
  8. At present i'm sticking with TeamViewer and my mobile phone as it does what I need. I have today enabled the WiFi hotspot on the phone so it will connect to the Sonoff devices I have to switch the mains charger on and to read the overall 230v power consumption of the van when it's on EHU. More to come
  9. Maybe I should have said easily available. I know that I would have had a heart attack at the cost.
  10. Smarty is fine for that, however I have just had a reminder that I haven't used mine for 6 months and it was due to be cancelled unless I took out another month and I would lose my excessive credit. It's now running the monitoring system in the caravan. I have drifted away from Smarty and now use this at home for £7.25 a month https://amzn.eu/d/cWXGvN4 And this in the caravan for £2.90 a month https://amzn.eu/d/0wCYZTi both way cheaper than Smarty
  11. Useful guide if you want to go down the Victron route. Won't work for me as battery is not. Victron and the mains charger doesn't have VE Bus
  12. Won't remove the dirt but will kill the germs. Carex Aloe Vera Anti Bacterial Hand Sanitiser Gel Family Size with Anti Viral action, Green, 300ml, Pack of 6 https://amzn.eu/d/f9DiOIZ
  13. If it's a 5g router you will need 4g and 5g antennas, if it's a 4g router just a 4g antenna. Not all 5g routers have sockets for 4g antennas.
  14. Because at one time the CofC / BSS only permitted one battery isolator so it was the only way of isolating domestics and starter battery's with one switch. There were no double pole high current switches available then. There are probably still quite a few boats that are wired that way. No See above for the reason.
  15. A while back didn't someone on here have a problem with his diesel heater whilst running heavy loads with the master switch ( fitted in the -ve ) switched off🤔 Return path was through the heater circuit board and the exhaust to the hull then via the -ve hull bond back to the battery 😱
  16. The first one is actually an electric scooter not a bike but all are stupid.
