Should We Name And Shame The Theives, Lyers and Swindlers On The Canal?
I have lived on a narrowboat in the Uxbridge area for a little over three yaers now, 18 months of that on what was sold to me as a residential mooring by BW, the rest as a continuos cruiser. Whilst living at the mooring I was amazed how much diesel, gas, coal and logs I was using but I thought nothing of it as I knew no better. Having left the mooring my diesel now last nearly two times longer, gas bottles last me months not just two weeks, coal and logs just never seem to go down in any way.....
I have spoken to others that were moored in the same area that I was and they have said how much longer everything is lasting now that a certain boater has moved of the moorings. So it leads me to thinking has the crime rate increased in the area where the suspects are now moored? or is there a reason that they have stopped?
The guilty party (they know who they are) is a member of this forum and it would not surprise me if they read this and post a response but the facts are obvious for all to see and I have no reason to make things up. I now have a dilema as to weather to name them or just live with the knowledge and hope that others are not taken in by them and robbed blind as I was.
What are your veiws? Let me know and I will see if the majority want them named and make a choice from there.
